Too ugly and gruesome for pictures!

The Juicy Melon sock is no more. Let's all have a moment of silence.....

I began the decreases for the toe the other day. Tried the sock on DD4 this morning and grrrrrr it looks ridiculous.... she is such a peanut. Some of the tops she still fits into are 2T - the kid is 4.5 years old! I thought that I could make it work.

I got my winder out and - gasp - wound the yarn back into little Juicy Melon cakes....

I am to OCD to let this slide.... and darn it *I* wanted these socks! But I am going to make an adjustment, since the three of us girls *all* want Juicy Melon Socks, I will make little Ped type socks for all three of us... So that is my lemonade out of my lemons.

How appropriate.... Lemonade for Labor Day weekend.

Hey, don't feel bad on my account about it, okay? I'm in no hurry for a picture...and I'm really sorry for your loss. Just so you know, some of the yarn I dyed up the other day was more Juicy Melon, and it's in the new base yarn, which is a wee tiny bit thicker and might knit up a wee tiny bit faster. If you want a skein, I'll give it to you half off because you're such a loyal reader and because there is such high demand in your house for them. Just send me an e-mail shellyk@shellykang.com and we'll work it out.

I totally feel your pain. I have a 5 1/2 year old DS who can still wear size 3-4 pants but needs a 6 or 7 for the leg length because he's got legs up to his eyebrows.
He can still wear XS shirts but I usually end up getting him S or even M because he's got a long torso as well and if I bought him XS shirts they'd look like belly shirts on him.
