When the kids were a few years younger, they would ask how come the food I made always tasted so good. I told them that it was all the 'Love' that I put into my cooking... well I had a thought... what if I gave out the secret....
What is the secret? In every stitch of the socks that I knit for my DD9 is 1,000,000 love....
That was golden... it worked... That put a nice big smile on her face and she was able to fall asleep, and sleep the sleep that a 9 year old should...
So now both of my girls are sleeping with the socks that I have knit for them... it's so funny to see the socks by their pillow when they wake up in the morning....

My DD is 15 months. She loves her hand knit socks, too. She sleeps with them every night. Sometimes wearing them, but usually holding them. They are better than any stuffed animal. Although she doesn't understand all the love that was put into them, she certainly appreciates them. Don't you feel like such a good mom for making them?
