Ok, so we are all allowed to have a bad day here and there. Today was mine.
The day began dark and rainy, normally, I really do not have a problem with dark and rainy days, when I can stay home and be cozy and sneak some knitting in, maybe make a soup or stew.
Today, though, I had my hair appointment. I wore my jeans and the husband's slippers out (thankfully my yucky day, did not include my feet getting wet). I felt so shleppy! I tried to go into as many shops as my foot would allow, to look for some type of footwear that would fit my foot along with the brace, and something that I could wear safely so that I would not have another slip and fall. Would you believe that there is hardly anything out there?
The instructions on this cast, splint whatever you call it say that it needs to be worn with shoes...yet I CANNOT find anything that I can put my foot into.
Now, these slippers I am wearing are similar to Uggs, in that they are shearling and they have a good sole that has traction, but I have to wear at least 3 socks on the good foot to keep them on. Lucky me, the injured foot can slide into it with only 2 socks and the ACE bandage. I am a 9 to 9 1/2. The slippers I'm in now are at least 3 sizes too large.
With these slippers, I could have another accident. Sigh.... SO I am probably going to end up just getting the Uggs Coquette to wear for the time being. I cannot bend my foot to get into *anything*, so these fit the bill, in that I can slide into them.
I swear, I'm not trying to be a fashionista... I just want some shoes that fit and will not aid in another fall. Is that too much to ask?
OK, so the haircut. I had to get a bob, to fix my last haircut... yuck... we will have to see how it comes out after I wash it. And the knitting I took to the salon? Well, I ended up leaving the salon with hardly any progress, because I had to Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip it all out. Dumb Magic Loop... I'm glad I got the concept of M-L... but I love my DPNs....
Tomorrow HAS to be better... oh, there is more that I could share, but I hate being a huge downer.

Can you wear 2 different shoes? I know that's probably the worst option.
Hope tomorrow is a better day and that your hair rocks after washing.
Sounds like it had the making of a terrible horrible no good very bad day!! (I hate those!!) Tomorrow will be better!
